Carissa Stanz is a freelance writer, product tester, and kitchen obsessed home cook. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and earned her B.S. in Television, Film, and New Media Production from San Diego State University. Since then, she has switched gears and is pursuing an online degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences from Oregon State University.
With over ten years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Carissa has held a variety of positions including taproom manager for Oskar Blues Brewery and freelance writer for Wide Open Eats. Inspired by her mother's phenomenal home cooking, Carissa spends countless hours in the kitchen conjuring up her own recipes.
