Elizabeth White

Elizabeth grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and at 20, decided to leave for Colorado to pursue an internship teaching kids about everything from environmental science to archery. Later, she moved to Lake Tahoe, where she decided to go back to school and earn her B.A. in Journalism at Sierra Nevada University. After graduating, she worked in the tech industry as a Software Quality Assurance and IT support specialist. She learned how to program, problem solve, and thoroughly test software to offer the best possible user experience. Her job took her to remote parts of the world to help provide on-site support for projects. Meanwhile, she worked as a freelancer for many publications in her spare time. Eventually, she found her way back to the world of journalism as a full-time reporter for various local newspapers in Lake Tahoe. Elizabeth is dedicated to bringing the most up-to-date, accurate, and unbiased information to readers in her role as an Editor at GearLab. Some of her greatest life experiences were living in a teepee for three months, traveling solo, and interviewing presidential and congressional candidates. She can often be found resort riding on her trusty swallowtail board, climbing, drinking an entire pot of coffee, or listening to true crime podcasts.
