Jed Porter is a lifelong freelancer, efficiency fanatic and connoisseur of excellence. With GearLab, since 2013, he has tested over 300 products in more than 20 categories. He's worked in the "gig economy" since well before that was what we called it and has built the rest of his life around chasing mountain dreams. To execute his adventurous passions at a high level, Jed has honed systems, aligned priorities, and optimized productivity. He earned a bachelors degree from the University of Maine in 2001 and completed 6 years of rigorous field study to achieve internationally recognized mountain guide certification in 2013. He was the 85th American to achieve that honor.
