Our Verdict
Our Analysis and Test Results
While we love how fast this board goes, we found some flaws in regard to the overall ride, such as its braking capacity, uphill power, and a bit of an uncomfortable deck.
Speed
We measured the Meepo V3 to have a phenomenal maximum speed of a breakneck 22.04 mph.
When we measured how long it took the Meepo V3 to travel 50 feet from a dead stop, it achieved the task in an average of 4.28 seconds.
Range
At a speed of 12 mph, the V3 only ran for a distance of 8.6 miles, with the last 0.5 mile being a definite struggle.
Although this isn't the worst range we've seen out of an electric skateboard, some of the highest-scoring models can shred for 15, 20, or even 30 miles. That said, the Meepo V3 has a relatively quick charge time — a mere 50 minutes.
Ride
The Meepo V3 has a decent concave and a good-feeling flex. However, it seems to vibrate quite a bit on rough asphalt compared to boards with bigger wheels.
It handles well at high speeds thanks to its longer wheelbase. However, along with the longer wheelbase comes a larger turning radius. This is not the most maneuverable model that we've skated.
Hills
Although the Meepo V3 wasn't quite as fast as the top scoring models, it eventually make it to the top of our testing hill (several other models failed). The fastest models made it to the top in 20-30 seconds, the V3 made it up in 52 seconds.
Build
This board is fairly large and weighs 16.9 lbs. The remote is ergonomic and we had no issues with establishing a connection between it and the board. We found the handle on the deck to be especially useful.
Braking
This model did fairly well at braking. Hub motor skateboards can be a little bit sluggish when it's time to slow down, but the Meepo V3 got it done in an average of 38 feet.
We also found no problems with slowing down on a fairly steep decline of 15%.
Value
If you like to go fast and you aren't too worried about range, we think the Meepo V3 is the way to go if you're shopping on a budget.
Conclusion
All in all, our opinion is that the Meepo V3 is a decent option. It's affordable, it goes fast as heck, and it performs just under par in most other elements when compared to boards that cost significantly more.
