Our Verdict

The Panasonic ErgoFit has a similar list price to earbuds that perform significantly better across the board, making them somewhat hard to consider. While we think the fit is one of the most comfortable, providing 3 ear tip sizes, they fell short in almost every other capacity. The sound quality lacks space and feels almost condensed or stunted. The bass is definitely present, but it feels murky in terms of detail and clarity. The vocals share a similar murkiness, leaving the overall sound unsatisfying. If you're looking to make calls, these buds produce strong white noise that masks both callers' voices, and the louder the background noise, the louder the buzz becomes. Overall, we don't think the comfort overrides the other flaws in the Ergofit, and we think most listeners will be happier looking elsewhere, especially at this price.

Our Experience

The Ergofit is one of the most comfortable in the group, living up to its moniker with a fit that feels both cozy and stable for most. They offer up to 7 hours of comfortable listening time, rivaling many other wired and wireless earbuds alike.

We love that they come with USB-C, so we don't need an adapter dongle to pair with most modern devices, and the inline mic lets you take calls or attend meetings.

This set of buds wasn't a favorite. While we thought they were comfy to wear and managed to passively block a lot of ambient sound, their sound quality isn't great, and their call quality is among the worst we've experienced. While they can do the trick, and at this price you won't fret if you lose them, we think spending closer to $20 can buy you so much more, and you'll be glad you stretched your budget for a better experience.

The ErgoFit has a comfortable fit and are relatively stable. We like that we could wear them for hours without feeling any pressure or pain. We like that they are ultra-lightweight, have an in-line mic, and offer a 3.5mm jack or USB-C connection. The cable is longer than average, and they have an IPX4 rating, so some sweat and splashes are okay. They block a decent amount of noise passively if you have a good fit in your ear canal, but they barely performed above the average for the group, so they aren't the best if that is your goal.

Dislikes

The Sound quality of the ErgoFit is among the lowest in the group, with disappointing depth and warmth and a flat mix that lacks nuance.

While they might be fine for audiobooks, podcasts, or streaming shows, they aren't great at creating beautiful music. The call quality is also disappointing. While you can place calls and attend meetings in quieter spaces, the busier your environment, the harder it is to separate background noise from the caller's voice.

Should You Buy the Panasonic ErgoFit?

Probably not. They have the same retail price as one of our favorite pairs that performed much better in every way. The real perk of the Ergofit is that they are comfortable to wear, and in quiet spaces, you could use them for calls or meetings, but overall, they are disappointing in most ways, and while they are relatively inexpensive, there are cheaper options that offer more and are similarly priced options we love.

What Other Earbuds Should You Consider?

The Linsoul KZ ZSN Pro X are our favorite wired earbuds, offering impressive sound quality, good passive noise blocking, and excellent call quality. They are comfortable to wear, have similar prices, and feel higher quality than the ErgoFit. If you want to save money and are less interested in noise blocking, the UliX Rider - 3.5mm offers a lower price with surprisingly good sound, comfort, and call quality. While they don't block much of the environmental sounds around you, we think they are more than worth the price of admission.
