Our Verdict
The WOSPORTS 48MP G600 is an affordable non-cellular trail camera that's particularly good for backyard use. Unlike most trail cameras that have a 50-60° field of view, this one can capture twice the area with its much wider 120° FOV. If you're trying to see if skunks, raccoons, or deer are traversing your patio at night, this camera can do the job. It didn't produce the most consistency in our rigorous tests, but it captured great photos and videos during the day and in the dark.

Likes
The biggest reason to choose the WOSPORTS 48MP G600 is to get the wide 120° field of view. It made aiming the camera much easier, especially when we were trying to frame a game trail or cover a feeding area.

The built in view screen let us adjust photo and video modes in less than a minute.
We were also pleased with the photo quality. Unlike many inexpensive trail cameras, the color fidelity was surprising good for the price point and the images were crisp. Just know that the 48MP rating comes from upscaling, not from a true 48MP sensor system.

One G600 feature we appreciate most is this camera's ability to take both photos and video of the same event, giving us the best of both worlds: some cool photos and some sweet video.

On slow moving subjects, we were also pleased with its nighttime video.

Dislikes
The motion blur during nighttime moving subjects was poor compared to more expensive cameras. In addition, some of the nighttime photos were very grainy.

During trigger testing, we noticed a change in performance related to distance. Up close out to about 50 feet, the WOSPORTS 48MP G600 triggered off side-to-side movement and took photos with us near the center of the frame.
Beyond 50 feet, it started to trigger and take photos later, as we moved past the center and were heading out of the frame.

Should You Buy the WOSPORTS 48MP G600?
The WOSPORTS 48MP G600 is a great value for a traditional trail camera, and the overall image quality, particularly its videos, punch above their price class. At farther distances it becomes less effective in triggering and subjects appear far away, but it's wide-angle 120° is awesome for anyone wanting to cover a wide area up to 50 feet away without spending twice as much money. If you want a simple, easy to use camera for backyard use, it's hard to go wrong with this one.

What Other Trail Cameras Should You Consider?
If you're willing to spend a bit more, the Bushnell Core S-4K produced consistently better photos and video and it's just as easy to use. The form factor and overall design is very similar, but it has a narrower field of view.
If you're on a tight budget, consider the cellular Spypoint Flex-M. It's a two-pack option that includes a free cellular service plan that lets you monitor and control each camera via an app on your phone. It uploads the first 100 images captured each month to your app, but it also stores the rest on an SD card just like traditional non-cellular trail cameras. The FOV isn't as wide, but with two cameras you can monitor two totally different spots.—Chris Maxcer
