Our Verdict
Our Eufy Omni E25 Experience
Most robot vacuums struggle with pet hair. They either get clogged or simply roll right over the clumps of fur. Not the Eufy Omni E25. This robot was the one of the few that picked up pet hair with ease, leaving our floors looking notably less hairy. Plus, the roller didn't get tangled, like most of the others.
Other than pet hair, we were still impressed by the E25. It kept our carpets mostly clean, and it navigated our home with little trouble. Once running, it completed cleaning tasks with minimal intervention, automatically returning to the dock mid-task to empty debris or service the mop roller. Plus, it rarely needed rescuing from obstacles.
Still, the navigation leans more on brute force than finesse. We watched it occasionally skip corners and edges, and it tended to chew on the edges of rugs.
We were pleased with the mop and onboard water tank. It automatically cleaned the mop roller when done, and we gave very little hands-on support. Though stubborn stains weren't always lifted, it did a good job cleaning up after our coffee spills and lighter dry spots.
If your priority is automated vacuuming — especially managing pet hair and keeping carpets under control — the E25 makes a strong case for itself. But if you're buying primarily for a hybrid vacuum-and-mop experience, some alternatives deliver more balanced performance for a similar cost.
The Narwal Freo X Ultra also impressed us with pet hair clean up. It is one of the few other robot vacuums that can't make a serious dent in managing shedding pets.
Our Analysis and Test Results
Navigation & Obstacle Avoidance
The Omni E25 was off to a strong start with impressively fast initial mapping. It creates usable floor plans almost immediately and supports multi-floor layouts, no-go zones, furniture placement, and room customization. Setting up multi-floor maps is straightforward, though it requires manually picking up the vacuum between levels rather than automatically prompting the process. Once mapped, the robot generally follows the layout but sometimes bumbles around oddly, occasionally missing edges or changing direction unexpectedly.
This robot doesn't have a soft touch when it comes to navigation. Thin rugs can get rolled or chewed, and corners may be skipped despite the hardware being capable of handling them. On the plus side, it showed surprising awareness of real obstacles like cords, shoes, and tripod legs, rarely needing human intervention. Even pet accidents were mostly avoided or handled with minimal cleanup required.
Hardfloor Cleaning & Mopping
On hard floors, the Omni E25 does a decent job, but overall performance fell short of what we'd expect for a robot vacuum at this price point. Its combination vacuum-and-mop setting, paired with the onboard water tank that continuously cleans the mop roller, leaves most surfaces looking reasonably tidy, though minor grains of sand or stray debris were often left behind. Coffee grounds were generally picked up, but stubborn dried stains weren't fully lifted, limiting its effectiveness on tougher messes.
The vacuum sports an onboard water tank that continually cleans the mop roller mid-session. It's a neat feature to see in action, though it didn't make a noticeable difference on tough messes. “We had high hopes for this feature,” wrote our tester, “but it didn't even get the dried coffee stain up. That was disappointing to me.”
The square shape and extending side sweepers give it potential to clean edges, but it occasionally skipped corners or changed direction before completing passes during testing. Despite this, open areas between obstacles were cleaned well, and the E25's mop system kept floors mostly presentable with minimal effort.
Overall, it's capable of maintaining hardwood floors, though missed edges, incomplete stain removal, and a middling mop performance leave the cleaning experience feeling less impressive than similarly priced options. You may need to spot-clean heavier messes or occasionally run into a section of floor you wish had gotten a second pass. The self-cleaning mop is a clever addition, even if it doesn't guarantee spotless results.
Carpet Cleaning
On carpet, the Omni E25 delivers a respectable performance and will extend time between hands-on deep cleans. Large debris like cereal, rice, and surface dirt were consistently captured, leaving carpets looking noticeably better after a run. Finer material embedded deeper in the carpet weave — particularly sand — was often left behind though, and you'll still need to vacuum from time to time to get a deep clean.
The vacuum occasionally had trouble navigating over rug corners, sometimes tugging or briefly chewing on thinner edges before continuing its cleaning path. Over time, this behavior could lead to wear on more delicate rugs. Performance also varied slightly between runs, with one pass producing a cleaner visual result than another.
Ease of Use
The Omni E25 offers a largely hands-off experience once everything is set up, but the app and overall workflow take some time to learn. The companion app includes all the expected features — scheduling, no-go zones, room-specific cleaning, and real-time mapping — but the layout isn't always intuitive. Simple tasks like creating restricted zones required some digging through menus, and new users may need a short adjustment period before everything feels natural.
Multi-floor cleaning works reliably, but the process isn't fully independent. The robot can recognize when it has been moved to another level, though users are still prompted to return it to the dock for mop washing and emptying during longer cleaning sessions.
Day-to-day maintenance is minimal thanks to the self-emptying dock and automated mop servicing. Aside from refilling clean water and occasionally emptying dirty water, interaction is limited. Brush rollers and sweepers are easy to remove for cleaning, and hair buildup was surprisingly manageable — a welcome benefit for pet owners.
Noise levels are fairly average during cleaning, but the dock's auto-empty cycle is noticeably loud, ramping up to a roar that's hard to ignore when it runs.
Pet Hair
Pet hair is where the Omni E25 truly separates itself from much of the competition. In our testing, carpets were left noticeably cleaner after scheduled passes, with only a few small clumps of fur remaining — one of the strongest performances we've seen in this update cycle. The vacuum completed consistent, methodical coverage and showed strong suction when dealing with heavily fur-covered surfaces.
Equally impressive was how little hair wrapped around the brush roller. The anti-tangle roller design proved effective, with most debris ending up in the dustbin rather than tangled in moving parts. Some hair did collect around the sweeper arms and along the inner brush connection point, but removal was straightforward and required only occasional maintenance.
For pet owners, this translates to less time cutting hair out of rollers and more reliable day-to-day cleaning. Combined with its self-emptying dock and largely hands-off upkeep, the E25 stands out as an excellent choice for keeping shedding under control.
