Our Verdict

The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Lite isn't as smart as it sounds. While very effective on low-pile carpets, it doesn't offer the same cleaning power anywhere else. We give it credit for being easy to use and lightweight. However, it lacks the oomph needed to be a top-tier vacuum. It chokes on heavy debris and can't handle cleaning baseboards. It also has one of the worst max power runtimes, so it is really only good for homes that have small messes. For the price, we think you could do better.

Bottom Line While the docking station is great for convenience, the vacuum can't deep clean your home, and you'll probably be clearing out clogsOffering the convenience and cleanliness of an empty station and powerful cleaning performance, this vacuum sets a high bar for the competitionFor those who want all the bells and whistles and superior cleaning power, this stick vacuum can do it allIt keeps your home clean as a premium vacuum does, but it struggles on hair and shag rugsThis simple vacuum is a solid cleaner, just don't expect much on shag carpet

Our Analysis and Test Results

What Does the AI Feature Do?
In our testing, we noticed the AI feature is very similar to “detect” features on other vacuums. Nothing about it seemed special or particularly more advanced. Essentially, the vacuum ramps up or pulls back the power based on the surface and mess. This can be turned off. You can choose your desired intensity: Min, Mid, Max, Jet, and AI mode. Is it worth buying for the AI feature? No. You can get better results with non-AI models, or those with the detect feature.

Above all else, we love the docking station because it looks and feels clean. After you finish cleaning and return the Bespoke to its dock, it auto-empties its contents into a bag within the station. This means you don't have to dump the dust into a trash can, which could reintroduce allergens back into the air. Plus, the station is sleek enough to blend into a kitchen without drawing too much attention.

The Bespoke is one of the few with an adjustable handle length, which our testers of various heights appreciated. If you're tall and often find yourself leaning over to vacuum, you'll also appreciate this.

The vacuum is a user-friendly experience. It glides from surface to surface and maneuvers around tight corners with ease. Its motorhead weighs just 3.1 pounds and pushes across all floor types without feeling like a workout.

We love the attachments. The motorized upholstery tool is a game changer for cleaning. It kept our couches and throw pillows looking fresh, even with our shedding dogs. Plus, this tool makes stairs far easier to clean. The entire vacuum itself isn't difficult to use on stairs too.

The lightweight design makes moving up and down the stairs easy. Plus, it's a breeze to use on furniture.

While we had mixed results for cleaning, it did an excellent job on low-pile carpet. On our first run, it collected 100% of the debris we scattered. So far, this is the only stick vacuum to collect a perfect 100% in any trial. Its second trial picked up 97%, which is still great. It wasn't better because it began clogging on larger debris like cereal. Once unclogged, it was back to work.

Dislikes

While we enjoy the auto-empty feature, it isn't always reliable. If not latched perfectly, the vacuum will attempt to empty and fail. For us, this meant a dustbin full of debris dumped onto our feet. The emptying process is also loud and long, much more so than a robot vacuum.

The vacuum tends to choke on larger messes. During our trials with mixed debris, the Bespoke kept clogging on cereal. This was particularly obvious in our hardwood tests, where it only cleaned 83% of our mess. We would need to stop and use a screwdriver to push the debris through before cleaning again. If you don't ever have large messes or have a full-sized upright vacuum on standby, this could be okay. However, at this price point, you'll probably want a vacuum that can handle the worst, and this one can't.

The Bespoke AI Jet Lite also fails with edges and along baseboards. It failed to pick up light coffee grounds scattered along our baseboards, regardless of the direction we approached it from. The same was true for larger debris. It simply pushed it further into the corner.

It also doesn't have the most robust battery life. On high, you can expect a nine-minute runtime. While on low, 43 minutes. It also takes almost four hours to fully charge again

Should You Buy the Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Lite ?

At this price, we think you'd be better off with another vacuum. This vacuum is only a reasonable choice if you exclusively have low-pile carpet, have small messes, and don't need a long battery life. If you don't fit within those criteria, we suggest saving some money and opting for a different vacuum.

What Other Cordless Stick Vacuums Should You Consider?

Dyson has some great options, like the Dyson Gen5detect and Dyson V15 Detect. Both of these do great on carpet and hardwood, and their batteries will get you further. The Shark PowerDetect Cordless has been one of our favorites for years for its robust cleaning and ease of use. It has the option for a self-emptying base like the Bespoke, though not as fancy looking.
