Our Analysis and Test Results
The Samsung Bespoke Jet might be alluring for some neat freaks because it allows you to dump the dust bin into a disposable bag hidden inside the Clean Station without opening it and releasing dust. It works well, but the drawback is that consumers must continuously buy disposable bags because they are not reusable, increasing costs over time.
Performance Comparison
Carpet Performance
To test carpet cleaning performance, we spread a debris cocktail of 1/2 cup each of sand, rice, and Cheerios over 9' x 3' sections of carpet. We record how much each cordless vacuum can consume in just 24 seconds and repeat the test 2-3 times to establish an accurate average.
Because some homes contain thick, shaggy area rugs, we included high pile carpet in our test, though we reduced the importance of weighting in the overall carpet rating score. Still, our difficult high pile carpet test reveals how well suction power works with cleaner head designs, making some vacuums more versatile than others.
Low Pile
What a little crusher! This vacuum is impressive to see at work. It nearly sucked up all the debris, and it did not backward plow as much as the other high-suction contenders. The vacuum managed a 3-run average percentage pickup of 94%, which is outstanding compared to every other cordless vacuum we tested.

Interestingly, one run on low pile carpet resulted in a clog and a time penalty, but it barely affected the average. Still, any clog gets my attention, and this one occurred when a mass of Cheerios coalesced into a wall, blocking the bin's intake. The mass was so stuck I had to poke a straw into the intake to knock out the blockage.
High Pile
The Bespoke Jet didn't lead our charts in high pile performance like in our low pile tests, but high pile performance remained well above average, collecting 47% of the material. Surprisingly, even though the Jet clogged once on Cheerios on low pile carpet, it had a stellar run on the high pile, where it nabbed all the Cheerios, besting many other runs with competitive vacuums.

One characteristic some might appreciate beyond the test results is how nice the Samsung Bespoke Jet feels in action on our shaggy carpet. It's very nice to hold and gives you a smooth ride that's easy to push across this deep carpet without feeling like it's lacking suction.
In contrast, our highest-performing vacuums are much harder to push on high pile carpets due to their astounding suction power, which reduces their ease of use for all but the strongest adults. If you have thick, luscious carpet, this model won't suck as much sand as the Dyson V15 Detect, but it'll be much friendlier to push and pull, letting you easily add a few extra passes to clean your carpets fully.
Overall Carpet Cleaning Performance
The Bespoke Jet tallied outstanding scores on both types of carpet, well above average and near the top compared to other high-end vacuums.
Its strong carpet performance makes it a great choice for households with a lot of carpets or area rugs. Better yet, if your household has to deal with larger, lightweight debris like leaves, grass, or potato chips, this machine rolled right over the Cheerios on the high pile carpet, easily sucking them up. Some, like the powerful Dyson Gen5detect, pushed them around instead.
What I like most about the Bespoke Jet is its smooth ride. It's easy to push across the carpet without feeling like it's lacking suction.
Hardwood Performance
As more homes and apartments shift to hardwood or vinyl flooring, more consumers are looking for lightweight vacuums that can clean hard floors as well as carpets and rugs.
To test performance on hardwood, we run a similar multi-debris test over a 27-square-foot area with 1.5 cups of sand, rice, and Cheerios. Again, we give each model just 24 seconds to work on the mess, measuring and recording its collection rates.
Cleaning Performance
Interestingly, the Bespoke Jet was able to suck up nearly all the sand while leaving a few bits of rice and Cheerios behind. After the timed test, we measured an average of 95%, which was only a few percentage points behind our leaders.

I think its performance in this test could have been even better had the cleaner head back plowed a bit less. On my reverse strokes, the cleaner head pushed the material to the end of the test area, making it harder to turn around and reach before the time limit.
Crevice
For our crevice test, we spread sand in between the slats of a bamboo mat and then try to suck up as much sand as possible in four passes. This is a purposely difficult test that doesn't let the brushrolls reach all of the sand to whisk it away, requiring raw suction power to get it all up.
Again, this svelte vacuum performed above average by sucking up 87% of the sand, making it a solid choice for anyone with some crevices in their home or tile with depressed grout lines.
Edges
To test performance near walls, we place two lines of coffee grounds up against the crack where a wall meets a hardwood floor, then assess results from a head-on effort and a parallel run. This vacuum left more ground than I expected when pushing it into the wall, likely due to the bumper not being motorized. Why would this be a design flaw? When running the vacuum straight into a wall, the roller needs to rotate to grab and bring in the dirt that lingers at the very edge. As opposed to cleaning in the open, the roller can rotate while we're pushing it along, so it can easily achieve turning and grabbing as we push through the house. We're limited when we approach edges.
Those with many long hallways with hardwood floors will likely need to spend more time cleaning their baseboards, and they might even need to break out the crevice accessory tool for near-wall work. If this is a dealbreaker, the Dyson Gen5detect sucked up all the coffee with ease.
Overall Hardwood Cleaning Performance
The Bespoke Jet easily ranked well above average on hard floors and our crevice test, both of which likely benefited from this machine's strong suction power. The below-average edge test reflects the unmobolized bumper on the cleaner head, not a power deficiency.
One observation I made is that this machine occasionally struggles with larger debris, like Cheerios, that are already clumped together. The front roller is smaller than average and not motorized, which limits its height clearance and reduces its ability to actively grab debris as effectively as a motorized head. In comparison, the Shark Vertex Pro Lightweight has a dual-roll system with a larger diameter soft front roller that is actively powered, letting the Shark roll up and consume big debris more easily.
Pet Hair
Our pet hair test is one of our toughest challenges. We start by placing 4 grams of pet hair into our 4.5' x 3' carpet test sections, then add 1 gram of long hair extensions on top to simulate longer shed hair. To make it even more difficult, we mash it all into the carpet with a heavy wheel roller to simulate foot traffic. We give each vacuum 12 seconds to suck up as much hair as possible, then weigh the results.
While it was able to suck up short pet hair fairly easily, its nemesis is long hair. Basically, in just a few seconds, 1 gram of long hair extensions would cause this vacuum to instantly shut off and indicate a clog — even though there is no clog, it's just wrapped the hair around the brush tool.
Fortunately, our recommendation here is easy. If a household has a lot of humans who shed long hair, consumers will probably want to tend more regularly to hair that accumulates on the brush roller. It was an annoyance and a time suck and frustrating. Given how expensive it is, I expected better long-hair performance from this vacuum.
Filtration & Suction
With cordless vacuums, there is often a correlation between high filtration capabilities and lower suction abilities. To help people not make a performance tradeoff, we measure and test both to help identify desired characteristics.
This model has excellent filtration and above-average suction. Let's take a closer look.
Filtration
While many vacuums claim to have outstanding filtration, we test the claims by monitoring air quality particulate counts in a clean room before, during, and immediately after a vacuum test where we suck up 1/3 cup of flour. By setting a baseline and monitoring particulate increases with two separate Dylos air quality monitors, we can identify if a vacuum contains or releases small particles into the air you breathe.
Samsung Bespoke Jet | |
---|---|
Small (2.4-0.5) | 41 |
Large (>2.5) | 21 |
This model has a 5-layer filtration system and shows that it successfully contained tiny particles, barely spiking the room particulate count. Dylos ranks anything under 75 particles as excellent, and it's an indicator that this vacuum might be good for anyone sensitive to allergens or pet dander.
Suction
The suction power we measured was impressive and is capable of efficiently cleaning typical messes around the home.
This suction power should also translate particularly well into its hand tool accessories, making the crevice tool, for example, more effective than they are with vacuums that produce less suction.
Ease of Use
Unlike a wall-mounted stick vacuum, the docking station looks rather nice and can be moved with minimal hassle. Additionally, it can lean securely on a wall without much risk of falling over.
As a bonus, we could easily dump the dustbin with a press of a button on the docking station. These are all great quality-of-life features that we appreciated with the Samsung. For those who have a home with little closet space and need to store their vacuum out in the open, this vacuum is a great option. As a bonus, curious visitors might even volunteer to vacuum just to try it out.
Maneuverability
Like with some of our most powerful vacuums, we sometimes struggled with maneuverability on low pile carpet due to its strong, sticky suction characteristics. It easily swiveled around table legs and was smooth on hardwood, but it was harder to navigate on typical low pile carpets and rugs.
Maintenance
We've discussed the docking station, but the dustbin deserves another mention. You won't have to touch it to clean it out. It only requires the touch of a button on the docking station, and the dustbin will empty, which we found to be the standout feature of the Samsung.
However, consumers will need to replace the removable bags, which creates additional costs and is a bit of a bummer. This is one of the best choices for those who prioritize tidiness during maintenance. Not only that, but cleaning the filters is super simple as well. It takes some learning to understand the general maintenance ins and outs fully, but the upfront work is worth it for something this clean and efficient.
Uphostery & Attachments
It comes with a combination and extendable crevice tool. The vacuum hose is also extendable, which is super useful for cleaning hard-to-reach areas of your home. In our tests using extensions on couches and pillows, the Samsung proved quite effective, eliminating most debris we sprinkled across couch pillows and an ironing board. While it did leave a small streak of coffee grounds, which was surprising, it still delivered a commendable performance overall — and one that many will be able to improve in their own homes with an extra pass or two.
Battery
Battery life is very competitive, delivering a solid 54 minutes on its lowest setting, which should be long enough for most people to clean quite a bit of their floors before needing to recharge.
While just 10 minutes on high power doesn't seem long, this model did so well on most surfaces that most users will not need to tap high power often.
Should You Buy the Samsung Bespoke Jet?
If you can manage the hefty asking price and appreciate the quality-of-life features, such as the docking station and ease of cleaning, we think this is a great choice all around. While we don't love the additional costs of the dustbin bags and wish they landed at a more reasonable price point, overall, this is a great device that should be welcomed in any home.
What Other Stick Vacuums Should You Consider?
If you can throw down more money, the Dyson V15 Detect outperforms the Samsung and is chock full of high-tech features. Plus, it comes with more attachments. If you want high performance at a lower cost, the Shark Stratos Cordless is a great option, particularly if you have a lot of hardwood real estate, as it performs exceptionally well on that terrain.
