Our Verdict

Short of decent edging performance and a thorough job of spot cleaning, the Eufy RoboVac 11S Slim is a rather unexceptional robot vacuum in a world of much more intelligent and capable machines. In particular, this model seems to lack many convenience features. There is no app, a lack of ability to set virtual barriers, no accessory life tracking, no history report, no repeat functions, and no cleaning map. Lastly, the lack of a dust removal system will require you to maintain this robot more than it will likely maintain your house. If you're going to invest in a robot vacuum, take a look at the others in our robot vacuum review.

Our Analysis and Test Results

The Eufy RoboVac 11S Slim finished at the back of the pack, exhibiting overall below-average performance, with no particular feature or function deserving of an accolade. It lacks navigational intelligence and convenience features, and while inexpensive, it isn't worth the money considering the many better alternatives. To see how well it performed compared to its peers, check out our best robot vacuums article.

Performance Comparison

To determine the scores for each robot and to see which ones merit an award, we purchased all the most promising and highly rated robots and rated and scored their performance in a set of head-to-head challenges. The results of the Eufy are shown below, split into six rating metrics, each weighted based on their overall significance.

Navigation

For this group of tests, we look for robots that can successfully navigate the various types of furniture and obstacles typically encountered at home without becoming stuck, as well as ones that can quickly and efficiently return to their charging base when commanded. These all account for 30% of the overall score.

This model handled our furnished room poorly. It frequently got stuck during testing and bounced around furniture before stumbling to freedom. This model also doesn't come with poo-avoidance, so we don't recommend it to those with puppies in training.

This robot struggled to locate its docking station. It failed to follow the systematic method of driving home, bouncing around aimlessly until it eventually headed towards its base.

Home Coverage

For this metric, comprising 20% of the total score, we assessed how much of your home each robot can clean, as well as its ability to clean multiple rooms, spot clean, and whether or not the software includes no-go zones where you don't want the robot to clean. The Eufy delivered a lackluster set of results.

This vacuum tended to get stuck in our furnished room tests, overcleaning some areas and entirely omitting others due to its erratic navigation. It has no barrier system, so you will have to construct a physical barrier across areas you want to be left alone.

The spot clean on the Eufy is surprisingly above average; working in spirals, it does a great job of cleaning — one of the best we've seen.

Unfortunately, this vacuum will only really clean a single room at a time and will not automatically return home and recharge if the battery tanks. You can try having it clean multiple rooms, but its semi-random nature means that its sporadic home coverage will become even worse the larger the area it is tasked to clean.

Lastly, the Eufy does a really good job of thoroughly cleaning against edges, leaving only a fine residue of coffee grinds behind, as exhibited in our edging test.

Carpet Cleaning

For our carpet cleaning metrics, we looked at how well each robot vacuum can suck up all kinds of typical household messes. This metric is responsible for 15% of the total score.

The Eufy did do a decent job of cleaning rice, performing above average on both low-pile carpets and fluffier, high-pile carpets. It only left behind a couple of grains in both cases. Oatmeal was a bit more of a struggle, with a lot left behind in the flat carpet test and even more residual on the fluffy carpet.

We used mini-wheats and flour for our last two tests to see how the Eufy can handle large and small debris. It struggled in both tests on low and high-pile carpets, failing to pick up cereal and making an even bigger mess by grinding the cereal down slightly. It was also unable to lift flour from our carpet and seemed to lack the power to ever accomplish the task.

Hard Surface Cleaning

The Eufy RoboVac 11+ performed identically in our Hard Surface Cleaning metric. We used a section of hardwood laminate flooring for these tests, which are also worth 15% of the overall score.

The Eufy did an acceptable job cleaning rice and a surprisingly good job of cleaning oatmeal, only leaving a little behind, and mostly in the form of dust settled down into cracks.

When challenged with flour, it pushed most of it around rather than collecting any of it. It just is not powerful enough to lift flour from deep in the cracks between the boards.

Finally, it failed to collect any mini-wheats, lacking the clearance to drive over them and merely plowing them around instead.

Pet Hair

Our Pet Hair metric is worth 10% of the overall score, with the Eufy RoboVac delivering an average performance. We spread out pet hair on a test carpet, with the Eufy picking up about 20% of the pet hair used in the test.

Convenience

The Eufy also fared poorly in our final metric, which is responsible for the last 10% of the overall score. It lacks the majority of features and functions that enhance its usability and convenience and are now standard among its peers.

This robot has no app and lacks the ability to set virtual barriers, has no accessory life tracking, no history report, no repeat functions, and no cleaning map. The only thing it does have is a handheld remote.

Unlike other more capable and convenient models, the Eufy 11S has no dust removal system, meaning it will require emptying the onboard dust collection compartment with much more frequency than more convenient models.

Should You Buy the Eufy RoboVac 11S?

The Eufy RoboVac 11S might work if you live in a small studio, but it will probably disappoint for anything beyond that. We do not recommend buying this robot vacuum.

What Other Robot Vacuums Should You Consider?

If you are considering the Eufy RoboVac 11S because of its price tag, don't let it fool you — this model is not worth the money. For an overall balance of performance and value, consider the exceptional Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid, or for the most intelligent robot money can buy, consider the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
