Our Verdict
Our Yeedi C12 Pro+ Experience
The Yeedi C12 Pro+ mostly impressed during our mop tests. It cleaned most of our dried-on coffee stains, and the ones that remained appeared lighter. It cleaned 100% of the wet coffee. Plus, it was one of the only vacuums to leave a dry surface behind.
Vacuuming was so so. While we were happy with how things looked at first, when we went over the floor with a stick vacuum, we found lots of leftover debris that was lodged in the fibers.
The bagless feature means you won't have to continue buying disposable bags. Instead, you dump the contents directly into the trash can. The sponge-like filter as needs to be removed and cleaned each time the dustbin is dumped, which we didn't love. However, the bagless design does cut back on costs.
Pet hair cleaning also left us uncertain. On the one hand, it picked up pet hair well. However, as soon as the brush roller clogged, it would stop and request help. After a few times of us helping it get hair-free, it cleaned the fur effectively.
The robot, while not the loudest, had a clunky sound on hard surfaces, almost like something was stuck in a wheel (we checked, nothing was). It was one that we would prefer not to be home while it ran as it is distracting.
That being said, homes with lots of cords, furniture obstacles, or pets prone to accidents may want to avoid this model. The navigation just isn't up to task for cluttered homes. It can still be effective; it'll just need a little extra help, which, for some, defeats the point of having a robot vacuum altogether.
Our Analysis and Test Results
Cleaning Performance
The C12 Pro+ cleaned large debris like Cheerios very quickly and efficiently, leaving carpets looking tidy and fluffy. Smaller debris, like rice and sand, was less consistent — some sand remained embedded in the carpet or pushed into random piles rather than a neat pattern. Though it appeared to clean more, it only vacuumed up 71% of the debris.
Edge and corner performance was decent, though the robot occasionally pushed debris slightly deeper into corners with its spinning brush. Overall, cleaning was solid but not exceptional at this price point. On hard floors, it only picked up 69% of the scattered mess.
Navigation
Navigation is a clear weak point. The robot can climb over most obstacles with ease, but its obstacle detection is inconsistent. It frequently collided with small objects, cords, and simulated pet messes, and sometimes struggled to locate its dock. Pet mess is a serious issue with this model — in testing, it rolled over medium and small fake poops without attempting to avoid them.“This is not a robot for a poo-possible home,” wrote our tester.
Even though it hugs furniture perimeters well, most obstacle avoidance seems accidental rather than deliberate. This makes it a poor choice for homes with small items or areas where pets leave messes.
Ease Of Use
The app is simple and mostly intuitive, allowing you to save maps, create no-go zones, schedule cleanings, and adjust suction or water flow levels. There are occasional delays or glitches, especially if the robot struggles to find its dock, but overall the system is straightforward to operate. Keeping your app updated will be key to avoiding those laggy moments. In terms of compatibility, this model will only work with Amazon Echo if you're looking to use voice commands.
The Yeedi C12 has smart, multi-floor mapping that can save two maps and a backup. It is able to detect carpet, and through the app you can create no go zones or turn on Do Not Disturb or Child Lock.
Pet Hair
Pet hair performance was surprisingly good considering its navigation issues. The robot started strong, collecting most of the fur along edges and borders. Brushes can tangle intermittently, requiring a couple of minutes to clear, but once untangled, it continue cleaning effectively. For homes with light to moderate shedding, it performs reasonably well. If you've got hairier pets in your life, be prepared for a little untangling here and there.
Noise
The robot runs at about 58 decibels, which isn't the loudest of the bunch. However, the wheels make a clinking noise on hard floors that is distracting.
The self-emptying dock adds some additional volume, but the noise is tolerable and not as grating as some Roombas or Shark models. This isn't going to be a major disrupter in your home if you have carpet, but it may not be the vacuum for you if you're planning on running it while you work from home.
Mopping
Mopping is a strong point for the C12 Pro+. The 220 ml water tank with adjustable flow removed light to medium stains effectively, leaving the floor mostly dry. Some darker spots in corners needed an extra pass once the robot said it was done, and a few areas were slightly sticky afterward, but overall it performed very well.
